Does anyone know of any decent steak houses in sheffield?
I've seen quite a few places that do steak in Valley Centertainment e.g Boardwalk, Fatty Arbuckles or Frankie & Benny's.
Anyone tried these and are they good value for money?

Many thanks Mike

The places you've mentioned will be terrible - chain restaurants like that employ cooks rather than chefs. Plus, the meat will be cheap stuff so regardless of how well it's cooked it will be poor!

EDIT: Best steak I've had in Sheffield was at the Cricket Inn, Totley. Nice piece of rib-eye, served medium rare. Can't think of any "steak house" type place in the UK which does decent food, full stop.

Sorry, we dined at your restaurant and we certainly wouldn't recommend it.

I ate at Grill on the Hill in Crookes for the first time a few nights ago and the steak was very good.

The vacant spot on Leopold Square would be perfect for a Gaucho Grill! Argentinian beef ftw!

i agree with the good butcher, but obviously it depends on who's cooking it!

imo, there's nothing wrong with boardwalk, fatty arbuckles, frankie & benny's etc so long as you're not expecting michelin star food! but for the money they're ok. i think the nicest steak i've had recently was at mosborough hall and it was lovely

Was only £15 for two courses or £20 for three the last time I went, you dont need a mortgage for that surely:confused:

Rafters, no question, leaves everything else in Sheffield in its wake!
