Hello,

I am a student looking to start Hallam University next year to study a children's nursing degree. In order for my application to be successful, i need relevant care experience with children who have special educational needs or who are unwell may this be in a school, support work etc.

I was wondering if anyone knows how to get into this as i've tried various voluntary organisations but have had no replies whatsoever? I have also tried schools and no luck their either! The NHS is full until March but i need some work asap.

Any help or pointers will be greatly appreciated :-)

Thanks in advance,
Katy

Have you tried:

http://www.vas.org.uk/volunteering/

"Volunteer Centre Sheffield, part of Voluntary Action Sheffield, provides advice and information to people who would like to volunteer or find out more about volunteering. We know which local organisations need volunteers, and can provide information about local, national and international volunteering opportunities."
