We were playing a League 1 side (with Premiership support) today.

Commendable effort from their supporters though, brilliant set of fans they've got there.

Your support is a league apart from your side: excellent.

I feel for the Wednesday fans they deserve much better.

Not surprised what you've all said about Wednesday fans, always top doller.

The Wednesday fans cheering like they scored when they had a shot was hilarious. Brilliant fans and exactly what we should aspire to be like at The Walkers.

BBC Radio Leicester were more or less applauding the Owls fans, so credits to them for backing their team in such manner and force.

Top class from the Wednesday Supporters too.

Big shout to the away fans, celebrating any shot towards the end of the game! Was class! Definitely deserve better than what they are getting.

The Wednesday fans might be the loudest and most spirited fans we've had at the Walkers this season I think; I actually enjoyed their presence.

Best fans in the country with gallons of humour.

Quality bunch those Owls fair does to them.

All credit to the Shef Weds. fans who kept their spirits high... Loved the way they celebrated everytime they got a shot off

Have to say Wednesday fans were superb, celebrating wayward shots like they were goals, fantastic support.

The Wdnesday fans don't deserve the club they currently have. I hope they pull clear of the relegation spots and push on up the league.

quality over quantity. And Wednesday have one of the best support around. Good club, exceptional fans, shame about their predicament. Hope they get out of the mess.

Fair play to their support, I stormed out early and was ****** off big time on Tuesday - After our 2nd loss in a row, I'd struggle to have as much fun as they looked like they were having if we were in Sheff Wednesday position.

Why is the atmosphere so poor at the Walkers when we are winning? It was terrible today with the Wednesday fans out singing city for most of the game.

Wednesday have fans to be proud of. Shame about the players can't be proud of themselves.

All that from a different club's fan's!!!

fantastic. if all away games(support wise anyway) are like that then i can't wait for the next. if the team aren't performing then whats te point in being quiet, might aswell have a laugh, even if it is at ourselves:hihi: bet the leicester fans didn't know what to do when we were singing all the songs they should of been singing:hihi:

More mutual back slapping......Wednesday might be garbage, but they're the most loved fans in the league - happy days!!!

Its easy to be a joke and loved when you've just been battered 3-0, i much prefer to be hated and winning.

Wednesday are like the simpleton in the class, you've gotta love just for been amusing if nothing else.

Joke fans = joke team.

If my team turned out a performance like that for the 2nd week on the trot i'd be furious mate not making light of the situation.

Great comments from the Leicester fans but if your lot want to make a joke of yet another goalless match and another loss how does it translate to the players "they're not bother so why should we be?!!!?!?" I and many other Blades i know would be looking for answers......maybe thats the difference though, the fans have accepted the club is a joke.

What can the fan's do, it's not the club or fan's what are a joke it's the people who have been running it for the last 12 years who have been and still are the problem.
Im no even that ****** of really cause i know we'll be ok in the end, football is swings and roundabouts.

Couple of Leicester lads I know went to the match and last week they were extracting the Micheal about Wednesday fans and didnt have a good view of them at all.

I spoke to one this morning and he had nothing but good to say about them. You lot changed his opinion a hell of a lot! I`m taking him a bottle of Hendos this afternoon to let the bugger taste a bit of sheffield.

Its just a shame that the fans who go to the away games don't go to the home games- from what people have said the atmosphere inside hillsborough at the minute is shocking with only a couple of songs per game??

I wasn't talking about the lane though was i ?? I was making a comment about hillsborough and the away/home fans?

I disagree- some grounds in the country have amazing atmospheres, its not like we can use the PA system like they do on the continent, looks at pompy and stoke- great atmospheres!

Thanks pal, IMHO the fans on the continent generate far more volume these days, neither Sheffield club could claim to have vociferous support all the time and Wednesdays away following are one of the most acknowledged for their support by fans of other clubs, United are not, so I will defend our fans on here against any Blade fan who says otherwise

Never be Embarrassed to stand up for ourselves and be proved correct.
Many people get injured in football, I remember an ex wednesday player trying to sue for 1.5 million 7 years after the event.
As for urinating on visitors, this is just another bitter owls myth.
Wednesday fans bricking coaches with families on them doesn't get a mention from any of you.

Anything to say about the weekends events?

It's sad news mate, I liked Laws, he was a good down to earth manager with passion for his club. He was liked by many Owls fans and although his tactics of late were abit odd - he couldn't really do much right. He lost either way.

I think other than this bad run were having at the moment, people had faith in him and were urging the players to perform abit better. I can understand why people want Strafford to go but he has said all along that he hasn't got the finances to sort out Wednesday's problems, he is doing what he can to bolster the Owls publicity and gain some kind of backing. From a marketing side of things Strafford is doing a great job and sometimes sacrifices have to be made for a club to eventually start moving in the right direction. Although I feel for BL I do think it was time for a fresh pair of hands to take over the reign and give the lazy players a boot up the backside.

I'm all for Sean McCauley being Wednesday manager as he has proved what he is capable of and seems to get the best out of players, I feel he gets the respect he warrants and as long as you have that, you can make a difference - look at Fergie at Man Utd.

Anyway, back on subject, we all know we have the best fans/ support in the land! ;)

I have to concede, the Wednesday away support is good.

As for the home support, well I don't really know about Wednesday but I've heard it mentioned on the radio a few times that its a crap atmosphere. We don't make any noise at Bramall Lane these days though, the atmosphere is always crap, I can't remember the last time I walked out of the ground feeling a bit hoarse.

Nobody has ever turned leicester away into a home game like united did in 1990. pitch invasions after every goal and a mass one at full time carrying harry bassett shoulder high. fantastic day.

Behave... the atmosphere was so stale at hillsbrough you had to get a poll going to get the drummer and trumpet players back to wake you up. and a shirtless wolverhampton fat bloke to do like wise away from home.

I'm not going to argue about lack of atmosphere tc, like I said it's no better at Bramall Lane and no English club at the moment can lay claim to their fans generating a 'good' or even hostile atmosphere...we have lost it in England so we can all sit down be happy families or eat prawn sandwiches
