Hello all,
I wonder if anyone can point me in the direction of a suitable venue for a child's birthday party in or around Hunter's Bar, Sharrow, Nether Edge, Broomhill? I'm looking for something like a church hall but don't know the area very well so any advice would be very welcome. It would be quite small scale, only 10-15 children.
Cheers

The Polish Club (266 5425) opposite Gymboree has a small room which would be ideal for that number of kids. A lot cheaper than Gymboree, although you don't get 'helpers' obviously.

You do get the (last) Pope watching over the little blighters though!

No your not Ma, we tend to organise a home party and a bouncy castle for the kids (then the grown ups after dark) and a lot cheaper than letting someone else do all the work for you.

That place near somerfield that does painting pottery, i asked what it was like on here a while ago and mos said it was good, they do kids parties, just thought its a bit more original than mc d's!!

not unique, but the pizza hut near tescos on eccleshall road could be OK for a small group, me thinks

Thanks for your replies,
House is too small/no garden to do at home and don't fancy the mcd's solution. Really looking to organise a traditional party with musical chairs etc in a church hall or something like it so the Polish club might be a good one. Thanks.

You could try the Farm Road Social Club at the end of Queens Road. Kids love it 'cos they've got a ball pool. Everyone I've spoken too says it is great, and they take them to KFC next door as part of the package.

Bit out of your area but it would be a change: how about the Rose Garden cafe at Graves Park?

I think I've read that they're doing kid's parties again up there but I can't tell you what they're like now. After the party you could wear the kids out running round the park and looking at the animals.

I had my 5th birthday in the Rose Garden cafe :)
