Sad to see the recent deaths of Little Milton, Lucky Thompson and Ibrahim Ferrer.
Little Milton was one of the top blues shouters on the Stax Label. Although he didn't have hits in this country he did have a large fan base. Superb down dirty blues. Try and grab a listen sometime.
Eli 'Lucky' Thompson bebop jazz saxophonist was described as enigmatic, elusive, underrated and brilliant but his contributions to modern jazz will live forever.
Ibraham Ferrer was the vocalist on the 4 million selling 1997 project 'Buena Vista Social Club' He was one of the featured vocalists. He was 70 years old then. This Ry Cooder project gave him the chance to tour outside of Cuba and South America and he had only recently toured Europe.
All three will be sadly missed.
