It doesn't really need to update any definitions spook. It's monitoring for any unauthorised registry changes. It doesn't matter what spyware it is, if it tries to alter your registry SpywareGuard will try and stop it :wink:

surely itd need definitions for newer spyware, what happens if later spyware has changed the way it alters things? spyware guard may not know that way?

id use spybot search and destroy anyway

It's just looking for anything changing the registry (adding things to it mainly). Just try installing Spybot and see. SpywareGuard will have a fit, well, until you allow it :wink:

PS. I believe i suggested that spook should install Spybot and Ad-Aware at the same time (in the original thread).
