hi i'm returning to shef in sept as a post grad student. i know the area well and would like to rent a room in west one or one of the similar complexes. does anyone live there or know of what sort of prices rooms start at. i'm not looking for anything fancy...just a bedsit/studio style thing.

Nope, I'm in the "Cube" block, which is a bit out of the way, in comparison to those who are over the bars and the West St side. Any noise I hear from Devonshire Green, is easily blocked out by closing the windows... Lovely soundproofing!

Yeh - it isnt a big problem and as you say, Caprice, with windows shut - can't hear a thing!

I havent gone for a parking space - just street parking which hasnt been a problem whatsoever!

I live in west one, studio flat (1 bed, fited kitchen) n pay 400 quid a moth plus bills (council tax, water, elect) it turns into 500 f... quid a month...yes ! a crime !!

If u want and advice, look for a shared house.

Cant say ive noticed the garbage noise but im over towards vodka rev side of things.....

Where are the cubes ? are they the apartments down to the left when you walk in the main bit?
