They're not pretty, but certainly can battle e.g foul a lot. Watch out for Anderson, he was their standout player at Hillsborough.

God help us if it's as mindnumbingly boring as last season where they strung 10 men across the park & wasted 20 minutes at each goalkick & throw in.Obviously no one has worked out how to break them down yet with the record of 2-7-0 away from home.:(

I hate it when we play Forest, as I live in Nottingham, not really a hot bed of football, I admit, but the digs are worse than from Wednesday fans when we are not doing well. My other half is a Forest supporter and I do hope we remain friends after tonight, not confident of our success though.

It can't be any worse than the shower turned out by Forest last season.

Fair enough they were in a relegation scrap but the time wasting and defensive tactics were some of the most boring i've come across.

In 20yrs of watching the Blades i can quite honestly say it was possibly one of the worst i've experienced in terms of entertainment and believe me there have been some bad ens.

Nearly won it in the 2nd half, some good games from the forest keeper. Forest are a good counter attacking side and need to be because they get everyone back when defending corners and free kicks.
Still cant figure out how Quinn gets a game ahead of people like Little tho

An entertaining game, great second half and a goalkeeper from notts a " man of the match" 5 great saves.

A team that had scored 9 goals in two matchs , 3rd in the league made t look very average.

WELL DONE UNITED SHAME ABOUT THE 3 POINTS.

Long ball first half with no idea at all, maybe we should'nt be playing evans on his own up front at home, second half was a big improvement everyone got stuck in and some good football was played which got the crowd going, god only knows how we did'nt score, but hey we made forest look like what they are which is an average side having a good run, dissapointed we did'nt win but thats a few games unbeaten now which can only be good for the confidence.

Thank you billy sharp, you've made my night...hehe.

Entertaining? it was poor apart from occasional bright spells in the second half! Disappointed again with Forest's negative attitude (especially as they were 3rd?), the referee was making it up as it went (Killa's booking was ridiculous!)... we just don't seem to be able to break down these teams that just come to spoil the game, the lack of creativity is as depressing as ever.

On the bright side, it was a clean sheet, and Taylor had his best game defensively (though he can't pass too well), things livened up with Camara's arrival. Not a team good enough for the top 6 without significant changes though.

Typical result i tipped 2-2 i knew it would be a draw, Billy Davies is officialy the most negative manager in the football league, saying that im sure they havent lost a single game away from home.

Next time we play Forest, I think the pub idea is a good one... but probably just stay in there for the whole game! I could understand their negativity at Easter when they needed points for survival... but on a good run, I just expected a bit more from them really... Billy Davies makes Warnock and Blackwell look like Wenger or Ferguson in comparison!

The beer in our pre match pub is so good , i do not dispute your comments we missed the first 20 mins:) yet were in the pub late afternoon!!

But be it for the goal keeper or our lack of finishing that could have been a 3 or 4-0 result.

Iwould have loved the 3 points , but on the plus side we played our best for a while.

As a neutral tonight, I've got to say that it was the second worst match I've ever sat through (the worst was Sheff Utd 0-0 Southampton last season). The referee was entertaining if not enfuriating though.

The first half was just abysmal. The ground was silent apart from the odd, brief chorus of Scabs from the Kop and riposte from the Forest fans, who weren't all that good tbf.
Hoofball galore, someone tell me, Morgan can pass the ball along the floor, can't he?

The second half was better if not spectacular. You expect 26,000 home fans to make a bit of noise, and they did in the second half. Some football attempted by both teams, and both teams pretty much failed, with their stupid little flick-on's and backheels that didn't work.

That said, I think Forest were poor enough that the scoreline flattered them (apart from the very lively Earnshaw, what a good little player he is - although his passing was off tonight). Camp literally saved them in the second half.

Camara isn't quite fast or fit enough for this league, but you can tell he has a good football brain.
Chedwyn's not big enough to play up top on his own.
Walker played well for the first time (I must've seen him play about 10 games in the last two years and until tonight was never impressed)
Morgan was definately treated dubiously by the referee, who didn't help the game one bit with his inconsistency and some utterly pathetic decisions.

Not a waste of a fiver, but on tonight's evidence neither side will overtake Cardiff for 3rd on merit, where we now lie after beating Sandwell Town at their place tonight. It's Newcastle's to lose at the moment (now there's a team who the phrase anti-football was made for).

YOU WERE DOING SO WELL UNTIL YOU SLATED WALKER!! showing you have so little knowledge of the game of football.

Yes 26,600 fans could have made more noise but on a very cold , wet , tuesday evening what a cracking attendance.

Newcastle are running away with it at present, but were lucky to go away with a 1-0 victory against a poor half strength United side.

We Blades have red and white bias views some/many times but tonight i thought there were more positives than negatives.

I enjoyed the match. Maybe if i wanted to watch brazilian footy every week you would suggest ....Cardiff! thanks but no thanks.

Ah come on now, I can only say what I see. I don't go to every single Blades game and it's not my fault if I've not seen Walker play at his best before. There's a reason Spurs signed him, but bear in mind they also paid £3mill for Chris Gunter (Forest's #16 tonight)

Since I moved here I've been in awe of Sheffield United's attendances. For a two-team City, your fans do turn out in brilliant numbers at home, even if they don't make much noise. As I say, second half was nice and loud, I was impressed.

Newcastle are running away with it at present, but were lucky to go away with a 1-0 victory against a poor half strength United side.

I know, I was there for that one. Lucky is a bit of an understatement. One shot, one goal, it was exactly the same when they were at CCS earlier in the year. At least the Kop gave Alan Smith some good stick. Horrible little scumbag.

We Blades have red and white bias views some/many times but tonight i thought there were more positives than negatives.

Fair enough, I'm not so sure. I thought it was closer to your performance against Ipswich (which was a good one to watch in the Kop as a neutral!) than against us or Newcastle. If you get the ball on the floor, you've got a good side. You just hoof it way too much.

Maybe if i wanted to watch brazilian footy every week you would suggest ....Cardiff!

No, I wouldn't suggest any side in this league! I mean, look at Forest, they thrashed Leicester 5-1 on the weekend and were crap tonight. Boro thrashed QPR 5-1 the other day and lost 3-0 to Blackpool tonight. I love the Championship!

I was worried before the game but now im just annoyed that we didn't get all 3 points.

We were tight at the back for the most part and kept earnshow quiet.

Its just a shame that our 3 best chances fell to killa- who is a defender and quinny- who is simply ****.

And yes i know its swearing- he is THAT bad in my opinion and shouldn't even be in the squad.

I think we went to different games Sheff, "occadional bright spells in the second half" - what the same half when we pasted Forest to death and could easily have had 3 with pretty good chances from Killa, Ward and Camara.

Taylor was AWFUL and had a pretty shocking match, his misplaced pass straight to their player with no one around him was a personal favourite.

For me last night was the most positive i've seen the Blades this season, we passed it superbly and on another night could have been talking about a 3-0 win.

We've been shocking this season, that was the best home performance for a long time (this season!!!).

Forest kept up the spoiling tactics and were lucky not to have your number 15 sent off and Adebola (bringing him on confirmed your longball tactic), the ref ended up booking Killa when Adebola chopped him down from behind and he fell into one of your players.

In all fairness we could easily have won 3-0 last night if it wasn't for Camp, we cut your defence open with easy on 3 occasions and Killa should have nailed the 1 on 1 with Camp.

Forest will be nowhere near the top 6 with any more performances like that as on another day you'd have taken a hammering.

Brian Clough would be spinning in his grave with the tactics Billy Davies has employed at the Club, oh and cheers for the full rendition of FC United's song last night :)

agree with what you say bout the ref. The incident in the first half where bunn had clattered into blackstock ,leaving him down in the area, was a case in point. Blackstock did not have a head injury, united were over the halfway line attacking and the idiot with the whistle decides to blow up and go and attend to blackstock

I was expecting more from Annerson (sp.) and Earnshaw, both were pretty quiet last night.

As for the FC United song - "this is the worst trip, i've ever been on!!" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aL4n5E1VEM8&feature=related - these lads are proper fans and fair play to em they enjoy their football and have f**ked Man U off!!

You ought to have seen me and my mate with Lee Camp when we played em at Hillsborough, we gave him a tirade of abuse for timewasting throughout the whole of the match.
He and his team mates spoilt the game, even a Forest fan on the tram said that he was sick of Billy Davies's tactics even though they had beaten us.
Yes Forest are very very annoying.

I don't think you pasted Forest exactly. Three good chances, nothing more, nothing less.

To say you passed it superbly is just wrong. There were one or two very good balls from midfield for Camara to get onto in the second half but nothing "superb" as you put it.

I'm not sure what all the fuss is about Taylor either mind. Just heard on radio Sheffield that he "impressed" last night, but he didn't.
