Another Japanese film worth a look is Dark Water... For something lighter, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is pretty good. Tigs robbie 07-08-2005, 14:44 Garden State, Closer or 21 Grams PuressenceUK 07-08-2005, 15:05 Collateral if you haven't seen that, it's amazingly good. ANGELUS 07-08-2005, 18:52 I've just watched Are We There Yet? with Ice Cube in it! I thought it was brilliant for a kids film. Highly recommended. Also Hotel Rwanda looks good from what I've seen and heard, not seen it yet though so I couldnt comment further. And the missus swears blind that the Magic Roundabout is a 'really good film'.. no thanks says I, but whatever floats your boat I suppose :) Also my recommendations: Harold & Kumar - brilliant film. Constantine - Alright for a night in. Blade Trinity - Alright. Troy - Excellent. Tigs 07-08-2005, 19:02 Whoa, is the Magic Roundabout straight onto DVD? I missed the cinema release! Rich 07-08-2005, 19:14 Originally posted by Tigs Whoa, is the Magic Roundabout straight onto DVD? I missed the cinema release! No, it was on the Cinema way back in May. I know cos I went to see it at the UGC. It was quite a bit better than I was expecting to be honest, cool 70s soundtrack, decent animation, and Robbie Williams's voice as Dougal was only mildly annoying :D Tubthump 09-08-2005, 13:02 Dead Man Shoes. Best British film I've seen for as long as I can remember. micksheff 16-08-2005, 07:36 Thanks guys I finished up with Hide and Seek, 6/10 hoba 16-08-2005, 11:45 Have to take issue with the person who recommended Blade Trinity- it's rubbish! Surely you see that? I'd recommend Shiri, a good Korean action film. Failing that, Zatoichi is pretty good, if period Japanese sword fighting films are more your thing. |
