I know Park Hill flats are meant to getting done over.. but what about these? These flats have massive potential but all they use them for is to stick people that have just been released from Prison in them..
If they were decent flats they'd be ideal for me seeing as I only work 1 minute away!
There isn't a Sainsburys on Ecclesall Road?
Might be Safeway actually.. right at the end on the massive roundabout across from the 2 government buildings.
Someone once joked to me why pay £150,000 for a wards flat when you can get one for free accross the road!
(not sure you can but it makes you think)

I've modified the thread title accordingly.

At the mo' it's pretty rough coz of all the ex-con's etc.. but like I say it has potential.

One of them was up for sale for £70K recently. They are mostly council properties.....they're right next to our pub and because one tenant complained from there we had to stop having bands on!
Their double glazing is sub standard and wouldn't meet building regs standards. I've been told.
No idea what they are like inside. Pretty grim designs though. Very socialist looking....I've seem socialist design flats in Eastern Europe and they aren't far off.
Nevertheless if some are privately owned, they're not likely to get demolished.
For what they are at the moment (poxy little run down flats) then 70K is way OTT. I wouldn't pay 30K for one as they are now.
70k good grief the worlds gone mad

I think the Wards Brewery flats look like offices on an industrial estate. The council flats do look worse though....older and more run down.
