My team is on TV on monday night (PNE) and with me not having sky sports, I need to get to a pub or club that will have the game on. I'm new to Sheff and don't know what pubs are safe and friendly etc, so can anyone recommend me a place to watch the match?
Bit of a long shot, but I don't suppose there are any other Northenders on these forums?
Try Legends at Hillsborough Corner... They're a sports bar so they would probably have Sky Sports... Other locals that have it include the Robin Hood at Little Matlock, and the Sportsman on Oldfield Road in Stannington.

Legends is horrible - nowhere to sit and you'll get a crick in your neck looking up at the screens. Also at Hillsbro Corner and also not very good pubs (but they do have Sky and are passable for watching a match) are the Blue Ball and the Shakey. Probably the nearest Sky pub to Infirmary Rd is the Burgoyne on Langsett Rd - the garish yellow and blue pub. But it's a bit of a hole to be honest so I'd only go there if you were too late to go elsewhere.
Not too far away I'd recommend the Ball in Crookes (52 bus from town or from Hillsbro, or a hike up the hill). It's a good pub anyway that happens to have Sky. It has several screens of different sizes. It gets packed for the big games and when the students are around, but it shouldn't be too packed tonight.
In the city centre reasonable options are the Old Monk (nr Winter Gardens/Crucible) and the Cutler (Cambridge St). Also with Sky but not great viewing-wise are the Fountain (top of Fargate) and the Yorkshire Grey (Arundel Gate/Charles St). Also worth a look are the Howard (opp the station) and the Penny Black (nr bus station).
