What's the cheapest way to get to and/or park up at East Mids Airport for an early morning flight?

NB. Typical Yorkshireman?!!

Get a friend/relative to give you a lift  You could pay them back by giving them a lift next time they need to go to the airport (if you drive that is)!

I use East Mids (or Nottingham Airport as it's now called) a lot because it's so easy to get to.l

By the way - where you going? Anywhere nice?

We goin a week 2moro (15th) and coming back the followin Mon. Think best option is for me to drive & park the car up.

I would normally ask my step-dad to give us a lift but we got to be there by 5.30am at latest, which would mean him leavin home at 4.....he's 72yrs old......not on really.

I was just bin tight........

The cheapest way is to walk - though it may take a very long time to get there. Find someone with a car who is not busy and does not mind taking you and can afford the petrol, or someone who needs to go there themselves.

The best way for travelling to EM Airport is use the new Skylink bus service operated by Nottingham City Transport. It operates every 30 mins from 0400 till around 2300 and takes 45 mins. You then have the option of bus or train from Nottingham to Sheffield
Details are available at www.skylink.co.uk

I always use Tony's taxi's (based at swallownest)... They're always early and very nice, friendly drivers. The rate is £85 return. :)

Cheaper to drive yourself and park up than fork out £85 for a taxi.

Think it cost about £32 to park for the week.

National Express (http://www.nationalexpress.com) have a coach service direct from Sheffield which takes just over an hour and for the sample dates I put in was £13 return for an adult. And there are a couple of coaches during the night (eg arriving at the airport at 2:35 and 5:50 on the day I checked).

Wasn't exactly hard to find - the airport website has a "Getting here by bus, rail and taxi" page which links to National Express ;)

Decision is made.....no taxis, trains, buses or donkeys involved.

My car & park up at APS....

Total cost around £50.
