does anyone know if the white horse on halifax rd has closed for good or not as i drove past the other day and it was heaving but tonight it has loads of shutters on it ....strange

I don't know the reason but it is shuttered up with a ''To Let'' sign outside.

It would make a good restaurant or old folks home.

Shame it used to be a good pub in the 60s.I can remember when it used to get packed. Went down the nick when the breweries started to cater for the "young uns,like so many other pubs.Last time I called in for a quick pint there was more drug sellin than beer .And the beer was awful.:(

It closed down as the Landlord and Landlady sorta did a runner. Shame :(

have you anymore info on why they did a runner ? , got or had a soft spot for the said pub was one of a few pubs what sold lowenbrau on draught

Well, I have heard reasons that they did a runner, but to be honest I wouldn't like to repeat pub gossip on the internet!

I will say though, that I think it was financial. And horse regulars will admit that it had been quite quiet in recent months.

You aren't the only one with a soft spot for it Panda, it was the best local ever! Lovely staff and a great jukebox.
