Need some advice.

I need the name of a REALLY GOOD family solicitor. My best friend is separated from her 3 year olds father who now lives in Nottingham.
She is a wonderful mum who has come so far in life. She came from a rough up bringing, got pregnant, managed to complete college with a 2 year old with suspected autism and has gotten a place at the University of Sheffield doing politics. She wants to give her son a better up bringing she had.

She met the father who was charming and lovely and convinced her that he would be there for her when she got pregnant….

It turns out Hes is a complete psycho…
He has beaten her up
Threatens her all the time verbally and via text (which she has kept)
He rings her anything between 2 – 200 times a day
He has intimidated all of her university friends via facebook so she has none now

Today he called her to say he wouldn’t bring back her son from Nottingham knowing that she couldn’t go and get him. As the custody arrangement is between them selves the police couldn’t go and retrieve him….

She now need to get this sorted and has been advised to see a family solicitor, get some kind of court order etc….

I hear Howells are very good family solicitors. I used wake smith for my divorce, they were great but there was no argument over the children.
