try mama uk but don't go for a quick meal make a night of it

think its called ego ... its the restaurant attached to st pauls hotel. i went last month and the food was delicious. its in a great location smack bang in the city centre so getting there by bus is no problem and plenty of taxis to take you home ... sorted!

Don't try UK mama, great food, terrible service.

It really is unique food, Afro-Carribean food but the waiting staff are the worst I've ever had, very unprofessional. Went there for an anniversary and sat us in the tightest corner, asked if we wanted or change or if she could keep it, (about 70p), the time between ordering and receiving starter was about 90 mins. It went from light to dark while we were waiting.

Good food poor service. I really had high hopes for that place as well.

Le Bistro Pierre on Ecclesall Road. The food is gorgeous with really good service.
