The queen of experimental dance music and Radio 1 leading light, M/A Hobbs makes a long overdue return to TTC!
Mary Anne Hobbs won 'Best Radio Show 2009' at the DJ Magazine Awards last Wednesday evening. It was especially gratifying as the awards are voted for on-line by fans and readers and she had a landslide victory over all the other nominees...!
2009 has been a great year for Mary Anne and 2010 is shaping up to be
even better. She is eagerly looking forward to her return to Sonar in
Spain for the 4th year in a row and also further visits to the USA for
SxSW and WMC following her smash-hit tours there recently. Demand is
still strong for her series of compilations on Planet Mu - 'Warrior
Dubz', 'Evangeline' and 'Wild Angels'.
She’s joined by another bass music pioneer, Rinse FM founder Geeneus and hot new vocal talent Katy B.
We’ve also got the debut TTC performance from Submotion Orchestra, a live dubstep group comprising members of Gentleman’s Dub Club combined with amazing female vocals – a must see - just check their myspace below!
Tickets available from Sheffield Union Box Office, Hallam Hubs, City Hall and onlne here:
