You need hosting, a webserver that will run your website. Not sure if its possible to point the domain name to your isp's webspace. Hosting is from £20 a year on a *NIX host and aboyt £50 on Microsoft systems i think. *Nix are the ones using PHP and MySQL facilities and Microsoft use ASP(.NET) and SQL Server. To find hosting (or more info about the other things i sed) just use Google.
Hope it helps :D

MTheo,

WHo've you registered your domain with?

If it's 123-reg I can probably talk you through what you need to do.

If it's anyone else I can't. :)

A lot has to do with:

1 - Your ISP (whether they will allow domain hosting)
2 - Which registrar you regd the domain with (You may be able to set up domain forwarding from their CP).

Best option would be as suggested above (get some hosting from a reputable provider, who also offer an SLA (Service Level Agreement) with a guarantee of @ least 97% or above uptime!

Have a look at FindYourHost (http://findyourhost.co.uk/shared.php) for a list of some of the web hosts out there;).

You can use a Regestered domain Name with your isp's free webspace I don't know how you do it though

Now you have registered your domain name...log in to the control panel for your domain name supplier.

Hopefully you will be able to set up simple name forwarding which I think will suit your needs well. Not all domain registering companies offer this but it is worth a look. Just point it at your website address (eg www.myisp.com/username or wotever they have told you).

Do you get any webspace from your ISP? Have a look at their homepage and see.
