I've just been reading your posts with interest. I am moving to South Yorkshire from Kent to be closer to my family in Rotherham.

I've looked at so many properties my head is spinning and listened to so many people, giving me advice on areas to go for and to avoid in Rotherham, that my brain hurts.

I HAVE noticed that, just as Rotherham people don't have a good word to say about Sheffield, the reverse is also true.

I have found a house that I really like the look of on Hesley Road, S5. When I looked at it on the map, it seemed to be in Shire Green, which, judging by a lot of people on here, seems to be one of the better areas. According to my sister, though, it is actually in Wincobank, which is to be avoided. Could anybody out there please clarify this for me, and also tell me if they know of anything negative I should know about Hesley Road.

Any advice will be much appreciated.
