My friend has a shower emergency! It has fired black sediment out & water is running cold. Lights on shower box and associated pull cord are out. Does she need a plumber or electrician & can anyone recommend anybody? She is in Woodseats

Thanks :)

I would suggest you speak to an electrician. But if that shower has chucked out black sediment it may be time for an up grade of one. Would not suggest you try to use it. Get a sparky to look first then go from there.

If you are still looking for a electrician and or plumber have a look on [URL="http://www.propertyanswers4u.com"]http://www.propertyanswers4u.com

I have just found there site and there search box is very good as is the rest of the site. Hope that is of help to you and your friend.

You need both or a trade that does both.

Sam from Dearne Plumbing (search on here )is a plumber and also part p qualified in electrics

If it is throwing out a sediment surely that’s a plumbing job.

I bet the heater has cracked and a replacement shower needs fitting. So you do need a plumber but he/she also needs to be part p qualified to certify the electrical work done.

Don't need part p if just swopping ovwer the shower and not altering existing electrics

.Thats what i initially said, and what i was taught in my Part P training. However, pm from a spark said i was wrong and that a shower could be swopped without notification..
