I went (with family & friends) to the brass band Christmas Concert last night at the Police Club (Niagara) in Hillsborough. I just wanted to say what a great evening's entertainment.
The standard of playing was superb, the repertoire was varied and interesting, and the mc/conductor had a good rapport with the audience. The solo cornet player was especially good!
The value for money was impressive. Tickets were only £2.25, and drinks are relatively cheap there. There were free mince pies and chocolates for the audience. We're not members, but I hope there are more concerts in future. We'll definitely be buying tickets. :thumbsup:
