Lots of activities for children - make a holly wreath, see santa, face painting, funfair rides, sports activities, etc, etc.

Lights switched on at 5.30pm by David Blunkett, followed by a fireworks display (last year's was wonderful!) festive food available and a free performance of Cinderella at the Methodist Church.

The event has been successful for a number of years now and there is no reason why this seasons event will not also be equally a success. This year, we are all hopeful that David Blunkett may manage a smile and a few words for his constituents....there are many who need a lift for what may for them be a difficult season because of the financial climate or because of personal loss. We all need to support such local, public events and ensure that they stay in our local calendar.
