Here's a cracking site that'll keep you downloading for months to come. It's Polish, but don't let that put you off. Once you've found your desired genre (platform, arcade etc) it's easy to navigate. Have fun!

EDIT:
Ah. Bum. It looks like you now have to register (or rejestracja). Shame. But it really is worth it if you can manage to decipher the rejestracja-ing process. :(

Online HTML version of Lemmings here (http://193.151.73.87/games/lemmings/index.html)

It's the proper Lemmings complete with **** easy first 10 levels, cheesy music.. The works.

This is a great legal site for old PC games:

http://www.the-underdogs.org/

The hardest thing I find now that there are free emulators and games for most of the 8 bit machines of the 80's is which version was best.

Elite, Jet Set Willy and Chuckie Egg made it to the C64, Spectrum and BBC, but you can spend hours debating which was superior. With doing so much writing and programming on the Spectrum, I'm slightly biased, but the programmers did a hell of a job avoiding Spectrum 'colour clash' in their games!

ive just spent all afternoon playing old games when i should have been working. (it's too hot to work today!). i forgot all about frogger, i used to have that on my commodore 64 when i was a kid. even though the graphics are rubbish i can still spend more time playing that than most games today.

i will add one site to the list where i found lots of old games -- londondrum.com/frm/arcade.php?mode=stats -- they've got pacman, space invaders, frogger, asteroids, missile command, tetris... all the old classics. it keeps your scores too so i can carry on playing tomorrow as long as my boss doesnt see me!

Big selection there.

I used to post on their forum years ago, back when I was trying to learn DarkBasic so I could proceed with my plan to create a good game based on the late Bruce Lee, cos the old platform game on the Speccy and C64 was rubbish IMO, as was the "Quest of the Dragon" game which came out on the original Xbox a few years back.

I have a cartridge with retro Atari games for my Nintendo DS lite.

I love playing "pong" and the space invaders games on it.
