can anyone tell me how i can make a cd rom run has it isnt starting up automatic and it is a new one thanks

My computer - right click on disk drive and try open...or is it run....:thumbsup:

Or just click on it in My Computer as normal and it might run, or click it and find something like setup.exe or something likely looking.

you mean run the disc in it?

you can click the shortcut link to the drive in my computer or use start / run / type your drive letter (ie:- mines i: and also j:)

Right Click My Computer on the Desktop.

Next Click the Plus sign next to the CD rom.

Next Double Click your CD ROM.

Now select the Settings tab, and select the "Auto Insert Notification".

Click OK.

Click OK.

You may need to reboot for this change to take effect.


You should also note, that Nero (if you've got it) has issues with AutoInsertNotification (sometimes - especially relating to overburning).
