Anyone know of any step/dance classes in either hunters bar or banner cross. Just left uni and still looking for a job so can't afford to join a gym but wondered if there is anything going on at a community hall or church etc?

check out the Hallamshire, I know they have a few classes there. May need to be a member though. It cost me £25 to join, and it's around £3 everytime I use the gym. However by being a member I can drop off my stuff there, go running through Endcliffe Park. It costs me nothing and I get a warm shower and sauna at the end of it!

You could see what's on in Collegiate Crescent, at Hallam. I don't think you need to be a student to go to the classes held there :thumbsup:

(at least some of the class were non-students when I did Tae Kwon Do there)

Hi squidge; Sheffield Hallam University provides facilities to students and wider Sheffield Community www.shu.ac.uk/sporthallam/join.html at Collegiate Crescent and their City Campus.

Also up by the Lescar is a women's fitness club which offers various classes and includes a gym.
