Norton 05-08-2005, 14:10 Dusty Springfield - Son of a Preacher Man :) Thing is, I'll never get up and sing so don't worry, you're all safe! BoroughGal 05-08-2005, 14:21 Anything by Jamiroquai.... Rich 05-08-2005, 15:23 Anything by Meatloaf does me.. Him or Sir Cliff Richard seeing as I've inherited Mum's penchant for liking Cliff songs... Last time I did a Karaoke I sang "Crocodile Rock" by Elton John.. I wasn't drunk at the time I'd only had half a Tetley's. Hoofie 05-08-2005, 15:28 Dido - "Thank You" or Skunk Anansie "Hedonism"...haven't had the courage for some while mind you :? *Ryan* 05-08-2005, 15:36 justine timberlake, maroon 5 nick2 05-08-2005, 15:37 "I will survive" - obviously. absynthfairy 05-08-2005, 15:38 I LOVE karaoke My fave at the moment is "what you waiting for? It's that song where she and the guys in the DVD are dressed in ballerina outfits, scattering petals. I performed this (complete with ballerina outfits!) in a charity kareoke competition with two guys; came second and we won £300 for our nominated charity. We rehearsed it for months in my mate's house in Mansfield, and had a whale of a time perfecting it. The song is absolute madness, but I'd jump at the chance to do it again. madowl 06-08-2005, 00:40 I dont know about singing on a kareoke, although ive been told i do have a good voice, (i had a good teacher, i was a choir boy at one point) but i do like a good sing song in the bathroom, doesnt everyone? My previous life at crookes Karaoke (http://www.crookeskaraoke.com) I would sing.. I am a man of constant sorrow by the Soggy Bottom Boys or Tempted by Squeeze or Keep your hands to yourself by Georgia Sattelites weenireeni 09-08-2005, 14:06 I always sing madonna like a prayer or whitney houston i wanna dance with somebody, both are quite easy to sing and mean i can win whatver bottle of plonk the prize is! timo 09-08-2005, 14:52 I have performed a rendition of 'We are the Champions' by Queen in my pleasing, manly baritone on one occasion in Carlisle of all places. This is out of character. Normally I would avoid Kareoke like typhoid. Vulgar in-laws from the border country virtually forced me on stage, whilst semi-inebriated. I would have preferred to sing 'Fat Bottomed Girls' in honour of my wife and sisters in law to be honest. Miss 09-08-2005, 17:19 The Beatles... Ticket to Ride... Nice n easy... In a moment of insanity last night I talked the delegates of the course I am currently on in Notts to go to Karaoke tonight... Not sure I can drink enough of the old falling over water to be able to get on stage AND still get up to be compus mentus for more learning tomorrow... I'm sure her indoors would be pleased.. ReginaldD 09-08-2005, 22:13 Barbie girl is good for a laugh sing it with a mate with one being barbie and the other being ken, does'nt matter whether you can sing or not as you can just put on stupid voices. Evanescence4 15-08-2006, 14:38 I've recently done a kareoke with my sister, we did Madonna - Don't tell me :D slimsid2000 15-08-2006, 15:12 "Down in the west Texas town of El Paso, I fell in love with a mexican girl" Ousetunes 15-08-2006, 15:27 I normally play it safe, singing to songs whose words (and indeed chords and key) I know. But I've had mad moments. I've got a great falsetto (oo,er) and can reach too many Bee Gee notes. So, Tragedy? No problem. Night Fever? Easy. I've even sung Abba - Name of The Game (but it was abroad, so that's cheating really isn't it?). I've done Morrissey - Suedehead. I've done the Proclaimers' 500 miles. I've yet to do Donald, Where's Ya Troosers. But I do play safe. Though I don't own my own backing CDs (not for vocals any road - I do have others for guitarists). Shiny Sheff Thursdays from 9 is the place.... Rich 15-08-2006, 19:25 First Karaoke I ever did was way back when I was a student living in Grimsby, went one Sunday night to the Coach House pub in Cleethorpes, I wouldn't go on at first, not even after half a lager, so my "House Parent" got up and I did Kenny Rogers to her Dolly Parton for Islands in the Stream :D absynthfairy 15-08-2006, 19:35 Speaking as a retired KJ.. My previous life at crookes Karaoke (http://www.crookeskaraoke.com) Oooh I must have sung on your karaoke a fair few times - used to go to the punchbowl on a sunday night...it was good! absynthfairy 15-08-2006, 19:36 Shiny Sheff Thursdays from 9 is the place.... I went there last thursday...were you there....?:suspect: Good night - wierd john travolta man, very friendly landlord and very friendly locals as well actually! My current faves are Sweet Child O mine, Woman in Love, Over the Rainbow...and a new one i tried last night...Who Knew? by Pink! (I really don't go to karaoke every night...just most nights:) ) zoboz111 15-08-2006, 20:36 Smile - Lily Allen charlie9865 16-08-2006, 08:44 I cant sing but i reckon it would be summit mad like madonna or leanne rhymes. makes good punishment though lol Daisy129 16-08-2006, 10:52 I LOVE karaoke, I can't take it seriously though as I sound like a strangled cat! I like to have a good old laugh with the girls. I sing These boots are made for walking, Bohemian Rhapsody, Livin on a Prayer, anything by Madonna! Or whatever takes my fancy on the night! I always add in a dance routine too! Sultana 16-08-2006, 11:02 I would love to have the guts to sing karaoke, but since my son tells me I sound awful (his opinion), I daren't. I might go for a Carpenters song though, or Constantly (Sir Cliff), or Only Have Eyes for You (Art Garfunkel). Annie Lennox stuff is great too. ANGELUS 16-08-2006, 11:04 Not in a million years would I do karaoke.. for starters I have the singing voice of a lame mule.. and I wouldnt want to make a spectacle out of myself in front of the viewing public :hihi: Banjo Griner 16-08-2006, 11:07 Angel of Death by Slayer... :| Rich 16-08-2006, 16:22 Smile - Lily Allen Good song but I doubt it'd be in the book given that it's only just come out. absynthfairy 16-08-2006, 17:09 Good song but I doubt it'd be in the book given that it's only just come out. I sang it on Andy Jay's karaoke the other night - it's on the new sunfly disc. Wasn't very exciting to sing though! metalman 17-08-2006, 12:04 Like Angelus, something instrumental I think. Or failing that, Smoke on the Water. Rook 17-08-2006, 12:13 Heart of Glass - Blondie.
