Don't think you are able to do this, IIRC there's a limit on the length of regitration which varies from TLD to TLD.

IIRC = If I remember correctly
TLD = Top Level Domain (.co.uk .net .org etc)

.co.uk's are 2 year only, .net's are 2 or 5 years, I think .com's are anwhere between 1 and 10 years.

2 years for a .co.uk are about 7 quid, .nets are about 50 for 5 years, maybe less.

Co.UK domains from 123Reg (http://www.123reg.co.uk) are less £7 (£6.09 for 2 years):thumbsup:.

123 reg are damn good, might not be the cheapest you can get, but the control panel is second to none. Only thing that annoys me is they cahnged the Tag from HOSTEUROPE to 123-REG, which looks a bit naff really.

i use ukreg.com (http://www.ukreg.com)

£6.50 inc vat for .co.uk (2 years) but at the end of the 2 years, providing your card details in the system are correct, they automatically renew it for you.

got numerous domains with them.

tag = FASTHOSTS

Just a note with a .com address anyone can find your home address and telephone number, with a .co.uk you can opt out if you are not a business website.

Same with .net, but you can have your details removed, but its a lot of messing.

If I'm reading that right - it's possible to get free ones, but I didn't look at the tariffs for the packages they were attached to.

If you can cope with something like www.MTheo.f9.co.uk it should be simple - coz that's the format of ours, and it doesn't need re-registering. It just comes with your membership of F9. :thumbsup:

They are free, but with the business broadband products... At £6 it's easy and cheap enough to just buy your own - I'll add another recommendation for www.123-reg.co.uk who I've used for a few years now. For a basic price you get a very good product - little things like full DNS control make a big difference! (makes it very easy to host your webspace wherever you want and then point the domain at it, even if you move it around).

Dont know about the .co.nr but I've tried the .tk and didnt like it. Sure its free but firstly it gives a pop-up but also the url in the address bar does change if you follow a link.

While it might be OK with a personal site 'about you', I wouldnt recommend it for a business. You have all on battling businesses competitors let alone upsetting internet browsers with pop-ups and misleading urls.
