That line of red on the radar should hit Sheffield about 11 pm.

It's the kind of cold front/squall line that generates mini tornadoes.

Tie your wheelie bin down blue :D

It's certainly whistling through the gaps round here. Glad I'm not out in it.

Was already noticeably windy coming home from work. Not something immediately obvious but into a headwind where buildings were making any kind of "wind tunnel" it was hard going on a bike, my thin lightweight hi-vis was flapping and making a right racket.

Heard a couple of howls around 11pm- as you suggested. However I am sitting here now at 5am with a wicked dose of Insomnia, and all is very still out there

it sent our cat loopy about 11:30 p.m, it was bad enough trying to sleep through the wind howling without the cat doing the tunnel of death round the walls.

I was driving in that and it was very very bad!!! Everyone was doing 10mph on the parkway at one point. Even the fast wiper setting could not clear the amount of rain off the windscreen quick enough. Its weather like that which defo tests your driving skills and abilities.
