Yesterday morning I heard a load of noise coming from the rabbits hutch.

Naturally I went downstairs to see what was going on, and found that he had managed to get out of the hutch.

The front door was still clipped in place, and the top door was too.

Any ideas how the sneaky little get managed it?

The hutch we have is identical to the one here (http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a79/liencam/BoogiesHutch.jpg) , Boogie is a little bigger than my drawing of him turned out.....just can't see how he got out.

I don't mind him having a run in the day etc, as he's house trained, just concerned that he may nibble on some cables or something, and do himself a mischief.

He apparently was in my rolling tray when the G/F went downstairs. Obviously been watching the magic roundabout on the sly....

He stood on his back legs, pushed the top of the cage up and when there was a gap, he put his back paw in then he bent down shoved his nose in the gap and wriggled out!

Houdini!:hihi: :hihi:

he probably has pushed the top door open and jumped out knocking it shut again. my little cousin had this problem with her rabbit and found that a padlock solved the problem!!!!

The long side where the mesh meets the tray has the most 'give' in it

Our dog does the same with his cage....we had to get him one after he reduced four doors into canine toothpicks. He just sleeps in there now with the door open but it was amazing how he could wriggle out without disturbing a pile of cds I'd left on the top.

Nah, that isn't possible, as the clips are too long to 'fall' back into place.

Splodge's explenation seems the most likely to me.

Thanks all though*.

my elderly neighbour had delicious smells floating from her kitchen the other day whilst I was in the garden. I asked her what it was and she said RABBIT. Smelt so good I thought of asking for the recipe. Might pop round later....:heyhey:

What, the eighties american sitcom based Alien.

That'd be cool!

Unlikely, but cool.

Says the man who went doe-eyed over him not five days ago.

Heh, let's not turn this into a Burnley fanzone-esque quarrel! ;)

And I was more concerned for my trousers and your wires than anything else/liking of said rabbit!! ;)

Well, all I can say to you Liencam is "that you're not the Messiah" and that in fact "you are a very naughty boy" for keeping that poor rabbit locked up like that....:heyhey: :heyhey: :heyhey:
