OK so thought I would give an update on both of these lovely girls so anyone who mat have been wondering knows what has happened!
Well firstly Lily never produced kitten - what a relief! It may have been that all the upheaval caused her to reabsorb ... I dont know but anyay I have given her lots of time to settle and chill out and she will soon be off for speying and will then be on the lookout for a new home. She is a real character - likes to boss the other cats and the doogs about. Hisses at them a little and gives the greyhound a swipe when he tried to kiss her but to people she is the most affectionate adorable cat you could ever meet.
Lucy who was named lucifer by my husband has really really come on. She was very stressed when she first came here - everything frightened her, she went though a period or striking out at all the otyher animal and we had to keep the kids away from her due to her temprement. She now still has her grumpy moments but is very loving - a bi overly so sometimes as she winds herself in and out of your legs!! She is now at the point where my four yearodl knows how to put her hand out and let Lucy stroke her! She will tollerate touch all over and I am still working on gaining her trust so I ccan pick her up. She is a quirky thing and at 10 I doubt she will ever be any different! Because she finds changes of situation so stressful she is going to stay here in the mad house as a permenant foster. It would not be fair on her to move her on and to be honest a lot of people would have given up on her with the temprement she started off with. Im sure she misses her lovely old owners but I want them to know that she has settled and has a foster home for life here.... even though she still has her grumpy moments we love her!
So thats the fosters - along with my own we are a houseful of black and white fur balls (oh and a splash of tabby thanks to Lily!) I feel very honoured to ave had all the foster animals we have had through the doors over the years and hope there will be many more to come. :)
