Wonder if anyone can advise me please. My tv is doing an impression of norman collier on every channel and the picture flicks on and off intermittently, making viewing a complete nightmare! Is this a problem with the aerial? And how can I fix this??

Any advice greatfully received.

Seems like the vertical hold knob needs a slight tweak

I mean SLIGHT tweak nothing more

It could be muting if the signal is weak. Do you have a similar type TV (digital or whatever) to do an aerial check?

Its a brand new Samsung 32" LCD. Only had it a few weeks. Its always been like this but problem does seem to get worse when the weather is bad. Its seems ok now but don't know for how long...!

I had this problem once it was water getiing in the ariel cable on the roof,new ariel sorted it.

It sounds like a reception problem and you either have a weak signal or it is ghosting or both. Don't make any adjustments, in fact I don't think you can on those sets, they are factory pre-set.

All I can suggest is that you try an indoor aerial but whether it will work depends on the reception in your area.

I will tell you what, if you can play a video or a DVD and you get good pictures, then you can bet your bottom dollar the TV is OK and you have an aerial problem.

What was the picture like on your old TV?

We have only ever had this tv in this house.
