I've been told that my property would more likely sell as a 3 bed house than a 2 bed flat with a shop underneath, in hillsborough. Can anyone direct me to finding out what the status is at the moment... i was told to find it online through sheffield city coucil but i'm struggling to find it, where apparently i can type in the address and it will tell me.
strange question but help is appreciated.
thanks

If your property is a flat then its a flat???? Who gave you the advice? Or are you selling the whole building i.e. do you own the shop as well. Estate Agents have to be factually correct in their description when marketing a property. We would of course be happy to provide you with a description and valuation if your looking at selling!

I seem to remember that there is a way of finding out, perhaps through one of the council departments what class the property is whether or not it is classed as a residential dwelling, a commercial premisis or something in between.
I know that if you would be looking to put a planning application for change of use, you would need this information as part of the planning application therefore would have thought that it readily available.
