Phone their 'help line' number, see if you get any joy on that.
My daughter works for O2 and she's on the vodafone network for her own phone!
Can you put that in proper writing please as it is very difficult to read in Text speak and I got bored after the first line:loopy:
hehe. most of it was in proper english but what passes for standard english nowadays? pip pip old chap i presume? :hihi:
tried tp contact them thru their site but unsurprisingly they dont have an email address for complaints just a feedback for the site!!

and anyway i dont make sense half of the time(?) well make that all the time anyway!!
What I meant to say (I don't think I put it properly) was, if you call O2 tomorrow it's my daughters day off, and as she (she tells me this) is the only one who knows what they are doing and is the only one with any customer service skills, you'll end up speaking to a numpty.
Of course, being my daugher I am biased - but she does have excellent customer service skills and knows what she is talking about
ah ok!! thanks for telling me!! i dont normally call anway cos i know theyll do sod all about it!!ah well cest la vie!
Maybe you and your friends should use your mobile phones to (gasp) phone each other? :) I know, I know, I use texts loads too, but if it was anything I was bothered about I'd ring up.
The other O2 problem is that they don't (or at least never used to) support delivery confirmations... That's always handy if you're not confident a message will get through :)
Oh and proper english doesn't have to be "pip pip" :) I find it surprising how the occasional capital letter makes a paragraph so much easier to read. It's almost like my brain loses its place as my eyes move around! Spelling is different, just makes me think the writer is either lazy or stupid - which I know is bad, because you do get dyslexics posting, but you can usually tell the difference between genuine mistakes and "txt spk" :) Yours wasn't really too bad, but there have been plenty of posts where I just couldn't be bothered (and one was asking for help on something I know a lot about, so he lost out). Short posts are ok, but when someone takes the effort to write a long one badly, it hurts my head to read :) Ok, rant over... What were we talking about again??
thanks for the english lesson Rich but i was joking! i know my spelling is awful but i dont give a toss although i understand what you were saying about it being hard to read but i am not a snob who wont read posts just cos its in text speak! now can we get back to the original post please?
the only reason that my spelling is bad is because im sometimes typing really fast and then i type things the wrong way and then i cnt be bothered to re-do it thats why!!

It's hardly their fault if they didn't recieve the text messages is it? ^_^
You can get delivery confirmations on o2, but only by manually adding a prefix to each text, and I can't remember what it is!
As for the text problem, it's not unique to you. My girlfriend's on o2, and over the last week or so while she's away she's sent me quite a few 'linked' text messages. I never get more than the first of up to three messages. It's incredibly frustrating when you get a text that just says 'yeah, just packing to leave home, miss you, thinking*some text missing*' or 'I really love you, and really missing you, lying here a*some text missing'.
I used to have a similar problem with a work mobile I had on o2 a while ago, just use my orange personal phone for everything now (I am job hunting and jobless though ^_^). o2 were never any help when I tried to get in touch, and just said they offer no guarantee to deliver text messages within a specific time limit, and if it was urgent to make a phone call instead.
thats unacceptable that is. may change phone networks!
and yes thanks for the support hook.ur right i have no idea in knowing when me message has been sent and as for the spelling when u r a regular texter then after a while u will start to spell things in text form either writing or emailing just cos its habit and its a lot quicker!! sure i may be lazy, rich, but i dont go around being a snob attacking other people over their spelling do i? in fact i heartily encourage it!! it is only the internet after all and not a spelling competition!!
*cant belive that a thread about o2 turned into a slanging match!!
end of rant....
I agree with everything said previously about O2. And also, when sending a message I often get "message not sent. Please try later". I re send it - AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN. I then get a text from my recipient, saying "why have you sent me that text 5 times?" Pretty damn annoying - as well as costly!

All those text messages I get with one part, I get them on average 6 times until I phone her and tell her to quit it!
i wrote a letter to them and they got back to me within a week.
wasn't happy with the response though and so wrote back to them - i haven't had anything back from that yet but its only been a week so who knows?
i'm probably going to go to orange anyway - unless 02 give me a brand new spicy phone which is what i want !!
the_rudeboy 06-08-2005, 11:56 o2 does seem to be the biggest culprit with regard to txt delivery delays......but all networks suffer to some extent. I've been on all major networks and had probs. If its something important i ring up.
