View Full Version : Dog successfully cloned; what next?

Saw on Ananova that the first successful dog cloning (http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_1487230.html) experiment has taken place.

I have really mixed feelings on this; while one part of me wants to see human cloning work to some extent (not whole bodies, but maybe the ability to grow organs in the need of transplants etc.), I do wonder if we know what we are meddling with.

Any thoughts?

K.

First Dolly the sheep, and now Snuppy the Afgan. Can't hold back scientific investigation. I'm not worried about cloning myself.

EDIT: Just read that again! Nothing to be alarmed about folks - I don't have the skills to clone myself! :hihi:

As long as they don't start cloning chavs they can do what they like :gag:

I'd rather see them put money into something really useful like a Stepford chav program though

They should clone Dermot O'Leary, then we could all have one.

Oh the irony....It had to be Korea, didn't it.

As they say

"a dog is for life, not just for breakfast"

You really have to be careful with all this cloning and cross-breeding.

You never know what you might end up with!!! (http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y28/cgksheff/Sheffield%20Forum/krowdlad.jpg)

For a nano second I thought I was going to end up with my head on Dermot's body, but no CGK strikes again! :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: I'm getting quite a collection of these!

Ban cloning. Anyone want to tell me a good reason for it?

The world is already overcrowded but scientists are hell bent on cloning humans. All seems ridiculous to me.
