I need a piece of work top for the kitchen, preferably cut to size (much narrower than a standard one, at 8 ft by 1 ft) with another section cut out for a wall it's up against.

Can anyone recommend somewhere in Sheffield that might be able to supply one cut to my requirements?

Not sure as to whether there is one in Sheffield but B&Q will do cutting for you on timber... so they might be able to offer the same sort of service for worktops...

Arnould Laver on Chesterfield Road will do this for you - I got two worktops from there last year and got them cut. I think they only charged about £1 to cut them

Finally got this done last week at Arnold Laver. They had one in of a good match in colour to the rest of the kitchen and didn't even charge for the cutting - although I'll need to jigsaw some more intricate cuts to fit around a wall.
