We've just had our offer on a house accepted and need to move fairly quickly - I expect the LA searches will be the thing that takes the longest. Does anyone know how long they currently take?
Thanks!
Thanks!

View Full Version : LA searches - how long do they take at the moment? OneTrickPony 04-08-2005, 16:38 We've just had our offer on a house accepted and need to move fairly quickly - I expect the LA searches will be the thing that takes the longest. Does anyone know how long they currently take? Thanks! ukdavvy 04-08-2005, 19:30 Probably about a month by the time all parties involved ie your brief and the council have stuffed around sufficiently. Actually doing the search itself takes a few days max. (Unless it involves the Peak Park). Mind if I ask what the rush is? d OneTrickPony 04-08-2005, 19:49 Thanks for the reply, one month would be pretty good actually! It's just cos we don't want to let down the people buying our house, we promised them we'd move out on the 1st of September, thinking we'd rent at first (we're moving to Sheffield from a different city), but then we saw a really nice house and decided to buy after all... ukdavvy 04-08-2005, 21:32 Where are you coming from? d pete_jim 05-08-2005, 13:36 Just bought a property and the searches took about a month. There is an indemnity type insurance you can get if you want to move before the results come through. Not sure exactly what they cover though. If it fell through previously you can buy the previous purchasers searches, though they are only valid for a set length of time. |
