I'm watching this really interesting programme about Scottish portrait and painting over the last 400 years (BBC2).

Peter Capaldi is obviously an actor rather than a professional presenter, but he's so engaged in the topic and asks so many genuine and interested questions of those he's interviewing that it's a thoroughly absorbing programme.

If anyone's got the slightest interest in art, history or architecture of Scotland then it comes very much recommended. I'm sure you'll be able to pick it up on the iPlayer by tomorrow :)

Thanks for the tip, I will look out for that! Although I can't help thinking Peter Capaldi=Malcolm Tucker from the Thick of It at the moment.
