ok....im going to rent out another room in my house and as yet haven't put in a bed. now its not that large a room so it HAS to be a single bed....but there is also the option of a futon or something along them lines. what would you prefer if you were renting a small room?

Proper bed please - medium firm with a bedhead (for the manacles of course!) If it's a very tight room you may want to look at a draw divan or a nice frame bed that you can get stuff under (YAY for underbead storage)

manacles can be borrowed ;) no need for me to pay out lol

yeah i was finkin single bed with storage underneath. but thought id test the water before hand

Futons are ok for one night, in an emergency, but after a few days you will be crippled, a proper bed is much better.

Futons great for occasional nights but if being used as a permanent bed then you'd need 2 quality futon matresses which defeats the point really... as then it always has to be done...

I guess I'm just weird! I've been sleeping on a futon for the last few years and a 'normal' bed just seems really soft and weird!

Obviously ymmv....
