Around 9:30pm I took the dogs for the usual walk in Hillsborough Park and something on the hillside was on fire. It looked like a big fire and I think the fire brigade were there as you could see black shadows in front of the fire. The fire did seem to dampen down a bit, so I think they were starting to get it under control.

I think it's near the five arches area? Not sure. I don't really know what area it is you can see from the park. I thought it was Shirecliffe, but Hubby says that's further down towards town so it can't be.

Hope nobody is injured in the fire.

It's probably just a car. I hate the way that 'just' slipped off the tongue - sign of the times huh?

Saw a fair bit of smoke coming from the hillside.

Are you on about the hill at the rear of hillsbrough centre that goes towards Shirecliffe?? i was walking home when there was a fire in the trees at the top of the hill and i could see 5-6 kids climbing about from the 5 arches bridge.... the smoke was blowing right over towards herries rd.
