Hi,

Can anyone advise how to connect a digi box, DVD player, VCR and a TV together?

Freeview digi box has 2 scart sockets, RF aerial in and RF out.

DVD has 1 scart socket.

VCR has 1 scart socket and RF aerial in and RF out.

TV has 1 scart socket and RF aerial in.

We have the rooftop coaxial aerial coming into the house, 2 scart cables and 1 RF cable. Do i need another cable? If so how do i then connect it all together so i can watch DVDs, videos and my freeview channels?

Hoping for your help!

I think your short of connections on the DVD but you should still be able to put the DVD into the TV seperatley

Carol,
I also think that you are one scart socket short. But you can buy a scart splitter that will automatically switch to the latest thing that was turned on. You can get them from loads of places, there are a few for sale at Maplins near Somerfield.
It's such a pain that in this day and age there isn't a simple way to do it!

Because you only have 1 scart socket, you might be better putting the digibox through the VCR on AV thru scart then to TV via RF, leaving Scart for DVD.

Any probs, I could send you a picture.

You could also purchase a 4 way manual scart switch box instead, which, although it's another button to press, will give you total control over what you want to see, 'cos the "pin 8 high" system that scart connectors use sometimes means that one piece of equipment will "take over", and its a sod if it's not the one you actually want. Basically you connect this to your TV, and then each piece of equipment plugs into one of the inputs.
