Hi, I'm looking for a website that can offer me a free page on the internet to advertise my own personal business. anyone know where there is one? I can't use Freewebs.com as I'm work and my PC won't allow it for some reason (doh!)

dont you get some free space with your isp account? look on their website in the FAQ

Trouble with most of the free web space providers is that they pay for the webspace by placing loads of intrusive pop up adverts on your site... Especially the likes of Lycos, Geocities, Yahoo et al..

You're better off getting paid webspace if you can afford it, do a search on Google, there's some good reasonably cheap hosting companies out there that give you a domain name, a decent amount of web space, and all the trimmings like CGI-BIN, MySQL database and PHP so you can install a forum like this one if you want, etc all for usually around £25-30 a year.

I have just changed over to a web hosting site, as I am sick of the pop ups and ads on my ISP pages.

Now they are gone, just for a small amount of money as well, and you always get alot more webspace, as it soon runs out.
