I play guitar at a basic level and am wanting to improve and remotivate myself by playing with other people. I'm just wondering if there is anybody who would like to meet up once/twice a week for an hour or so to practice playing together? I'm 24 years old and am quite open to learnning to play different types of music. My own musical tastes include bands like The Smiths, Bloc Party and The Cribs but I'm open to anything really. Let me know if you have any interest or if you know of any guitar groups where you can turn up and play and its not taken too seriously.

The Cobden View have a group like this on a Thursday night. At least I think its still Thursdays. They have an hour 8-9 where all levels of guitar just play together then 9 till late - all different types of people play along.

Its nothing electric, or loud or rock - just mixed ages, mixed abilities joining in.
