So, my Indie tells me that Bridget Jones' Diary is returning tomorrow with, wowowowee a free copy of the best of her diary in Saturday's edition.

Do I need this I ask myself, the ramblings of a neurotic, sozzled singleton? I fear it has nothing in common with a once car number collecting, eastend born male recovering alcoholic.

What happened to the days when you could buy papers for the news? This is the Indies big sales pitch.

Has Bridget had her day? Or will those f...wits, smug marrieds and female jellyfish, I must stress the newspaper's words not mine, be looking over their collective shoulders in fear.

Will it entice you to buy it?

It'll encourage me to avoid it like a rotting anthrax riddled carcass.

I hate Bridget Jones and her stupid diary, it's a crappy deluding book and film bolstering the perpetual myth that everything'll work out nicely for everyone (with lots of cute endearing bits along the way). It doesn't. Some people never find love, a dream job or anything more than the shi**y humdrum existence that they started life with. ARRRRGH! Even thinking about it makes me irritated - A pox on Bridget Jones.

I'm off to nominate Renee Zellweger in the role of Bridget Jones on Timo's "Who's got the most slappable face in entertainment" thread.

Shall I start a Bruce Jones, no not Les Battersby, diary on the forum.

If you want me too let me know.
