my 7 year old rottie has recently started to urinate and empty her bowels on my living room floor, luckily it is wood so can mop and disifect it without too much bother but she is doing this up to 4 times a day. she has never done this before so it is quite worrying. i know it is not the fireworks as she is totally non plussed by them and never has been. i just do not know what has come over her. also for the last few months she has been sick but not vomiting anything up just yellow foam. i had her at the vets in may about this vomiting and they took her bloods which came back normal ut i am still worried and vexed as to what is causing this.
can anyone shed any light?
maybe have a word with zep the dep what he does not know about rotties is not worth knowing

Being sick when? In the mornings? It could be the sign of an empty stomach?
I know a few dogs that last thing at night are given a biccy to go to bed with and its stopped it :)
As for the messing has anything changed?
its hard to pin point when she is being sick has it has no set patterns to it.
nothing has changed at all to throw her off balance. i just cant understand it with her but it causing me severe stress :(

Could the manufacturers have changed ingredients? Might be worth a call?

I would talk to the vet again - the fact that her symptoms have progressed into now toileting strangely they may advise something else is wrong?
Personally - i would totally look at her diet. Not being a dietician I can't advise - but I would be looking to get to a totally bland basic food that can't give her any intolerances.
My bullies have flared up with rashes and skin problems all their lives. I have put them on tinned meat this last month - and so much of it has gone. These modern convenience diets have a lot to answer for - and it may be well worth you looking deeply at what she's eating.
she is currently on wainwrights salmon and potato and has been for about two years and i always thought she was doing well on it but will have a look at the ingrediants... will also book her into the vets on monday. thanks for all the replies x
What kind of house do you live in?
Once you've ruled out any illness with the vet, could it be that something has changed next door, eg producing noises that you've not noticed or been able to hear which is disturbing her?
