View Full Version : CAD engineer apprenticeship JLB joinery 06-11-2009, 15:42 does anyone know about CAD apprenticeships. i have a degree in fine art but want to progress in this field. help! straylight_r 20-11-2009, 09:05 Hi JLB joinery Without wanting to put you off, this is a hard profession to get into at the moment as many people in the engineering industry in this field have been made redundant and are too looking for work. I know some companies used to offer this sort of thing (pre recession) as an ex colleague worked 3 months for free at the engineering consultancy I used to work for. The best thing I can suggest is to do the City & Guilds qualifications in your spare time. Doncaster college offer the courses in Level 2 and 3 2D and Level 3 in 3D. Also previous experience in some form of engineering is required as I search frequently for jobs and this is nearly almost a 'must have'. Hope this helps!
