Last night was a full moon and Takara was a sodding nuisance all night... I have noticed this correlation before and when multiple dogs have been in strange moods I've been known to say 'must be a full moon'...
It seems people can't agree on whether the full moon influences behaviour or not - there appears to be a correlation in studies but is it a coincidence?
Do your pets seem to act oddly when it's a full moon? I was up 3 times last night putting Takara back in bed after she had got up and started banging on the kitchen door - very unlike her, and when I tried to let her out, she didn't need the toilet.

I dont know any animals that behave oddly at full moon- my cat is pretty bloody wierd all the time- but I know a few people who go a bit nuts at full moon and when its windy.
I lived with someone who went nuts at full moon and I knew it was a full moon by her behaviour- I used to go and look at the sky and there it was...
Dont they say that dogs and wolves howl more at that time?

I definitely think it does effect them. Our cat in the past has had days when she's been really skittish and just generally behaving differently (ie naughtily!) and we once jokingly said, "must be a full moon" and it was!! It's happened numerous times since and each time it has always been a full moon.
Evie on the other hand, well it doesn't affect her in the slightest. Still comatose on the sofa :hihi:

Yep, our cat Juno has been going into sudden racing mode, ears flat back, scooting around like he's got a flea up his ass!!! for the past couple of days. This always happens every full moon

Wolves, yes, because during the week around the full moon there's a lot more light for them to use. There is no supernatural or arcane reason behind it.
Dogs and cats that live in cities, don't even know whether it's full moon or not. They have enough light to live by every night of the year.

Yep thats the kind of behaviour we get from our cat. Strange isn't it!
Mine dont go wappy at the moon, its the wind. Particularly the cats but the dogs get the wind in their tail and behave like lunatics. Its funny to watch the dogs but one of the cats spat at me yesterday when I was on the garden.:o She was seriously spooked by the wind, she never spits or hisses at me normally.
