Isn't there a large crane next to the peace gardens?

All you need now is a very large rubber band :D

It was on the cards; they have been making redundancies. Will the woman who started the company Rachael Elnaugh still be a pannelist on 'Dragon's Den'?

Does that mean I won't be able to use my Red Letter Day pack my wife bought me at Christmas?

It's the one entitled: Bankrupt A Company.

I was so looking forward to using it. Much better than a bloomin' balloon ride.

Sigh.

Are you sure that she wasn't smart enough to bail herself out of the company before things went pear-shaped in public?

That's what all the fatcats at Enron managed to pull off.

Yeah, you might be right about that one i hadnt thought of that. Fair play to her if she did but its a shame for all the people who will lose their jobs. Maybe the British public arent as interested in stuff like that anymore.

How funny would it be to see Rachel go in the lions den with her next business venture.

Apparently they've been bailed out by one of the other dragons. Maybe an attempt to protect the "Dragons' Den" brand name?

[Edit] Or maybe he just sniffs a bargain - maybe dragons are a cannibalistic species.

It'll be interesting to see if anyone turns up on the next series and offers to lend her a fiver.

Will it come in a gift-wrapped red box?

She won't need to lend a fiver, she will have made sure she has her money safe!

Have I heard right that the company who run these have gone bankrupt? You know, those who do the hot air balloon rides, rally car things etc.
Just I wanted to do one for my bloke, the rally car racing, but if they've gone bankrupt I need somewhere else. Does anyone know anywhere? Or even something else exciting I could arrange for his birthday??

I think that they were taken over in a rescue deal:

My sister went into a bit of a panic on hearing the news, as she bought us a spa day for our wedding present.

Turns out Boots days out are independent, not Red Letter Days

red letter days never actually ran any of these events, all they did is put together a catalogue, add on a huge markup and sell the services on.
They've always been actually run by independant companies. For example, the wine tasting experience for 2, £99, costs £27 direct from vinopolis in london.
The track days and the like, you can turn up on the day at the tracks and get stuff for 50 - 80 % less.
