I rescued an adult female from disgusting conditions a few months back. I nursed her back to health from being so thin and had so little hair I could see all the ribs and spine.
She was left to roam the floor with chickens :o
Back fighting fit now she needs an understanding home, to help her over come her fear of anything that moves.
She's frightened of any other pigs, she will just attack them (trust me, I've tried plenty!) but is perfectly fine being handled. She's roughly a year to 18 months old.
She's spent the last 3 months in my bedroom, getting daily attention and has been thriving happily just as that.
I don't normally promote keeping pigs alone, but she is truly terrified. She may come round in time, but as it stands I would suggest keeping her alone.
