Are there any pupils on here of Anns Road School who left in 1955, or Carfield school who left in 1959, if so please PM me with your name.I'm trying to arrange a meeting over Christmas for one of our schoolfriends who will be over from Australia.It will be great to all meet up again over a Christmas dinner, thanks to you all.

Applegrim, I used to go to Anns Road School, left there after the 11+ and moved to Crookes (mum and dad took on a fish and chip shop). Then came back to live on Anns Road right across from the school (remember the deaf and dumb cobbler there - we lived in the same yard) and I went to Carfield School until 1958. Flew out of that schoolyard faster than a speeding bullet that December, I can tell you - scared stiff they'd come and tell me I couldn't leave! I'd love to hear about the Christmas dinner if it ever came to pass.

Hi. the names Ken Foster and I left Carfield in 1959. I went back to a sort of reunion when Carfield School celibrated it's Centenary. Met a few of my old class mates after finding info on Friends Reunited. Lost touch unfortunately when my computer crashed and I lost every thing I had stored.
