Hi, we have 2 kittens that I'd like to get Spayed, but we're on Benefits. What options are open to us to reduce the cost as much as possible?
They are both live-in Kitties, one if 4 1/2 months old, the other is 6 weeks younger.

The options you have are PDSA, but im not sure of their requirements.
Or, Cats protection. They offer £30 vouchers off spaying/neutering. They send the voucher direct to your vet and it knocks £30 off the full price. I know that Springfield are offering spaying at £45 each, so it makes the total £30 for 2 cats spaying if you get vouchers. There might be other vets what people recommend on here, but I dont have much experience of any others.
Glad to see youre getting them done. Best thing you can do :) Good luck in finding the best way, but I dont know of any other options.
As the OP said, if you're on a low income contact the local Cat Protection League for vouchers, if they don't have any ask for the national number and ring and request them and they send by post. From memory a male castrate voucher is £20, and the female spay is £25.
We took our two (one boy one girl) to Croft's in Eckington (on Market Street), and the prices were £25 for a boy and £30 for a girl, so we effectively paid a fiver for each one. They won't spay until at least five months though I think.
Thanks, I'll check them out on monday. :)
