...was on Question Time last night. Now how this hard-faced, thieving cow has the nerve to show her face in public is beyond me.

However what a contrast with last week's QT (Nick Griffin). Rent-a-mob had left the building, but the audience was littered with people of the same ilk.

When the shameless Smith spouted that she had 'made a mistake, apologised (sic), paid back what she owed' etc. there were actually morons in the audience who applauded her! There were also a couple in the hand-picked audience who said it was time to 'move on' (oh what a delightful, weasel expression - right up there with 'inappropriate' and 'absolutely!').

For anyone who doubts that QT is an establishment tool of the British Brainwashing Corporation (last night's stooge was the failed dancer John Sergeant, who said 'we'd heard enough about expenses'), I suggest they have Ceefax 155 on which simultaneously shows the prog. as well as displaying incoming texts from viewers.

Week after week, the overwhelming majority display viewpoints totally at odds with the smug, self satisfied panellists and their oh-so-selective audience.

I've watched Question Time precisely once since Robin Day left (the Ian Hislop program). Today's QT is just part of a sagging line-up of former flagship programs that now really ought to be scuttled.

Question Time: Kilroy for Guardian readers.

Panorama: Now reduced to doing sub-Watchdog type rubbish such as the recent Ryan Air "investigation".

Horizon: Now reduced to end of the pier huckstering ("How much is your dead body worth?").

British TV dumbed down? That's unpossible.

i thought jacqui smith came over as someone who tried to explain how she got it wrong and was to me deeply ashamed.she was investigated by an independent body and complied with all they asked.

At least her husband will have been pleased at her appearance on QT. With her out of the house he'll have enjoyed a pleasant evening watching hardcore porn at the taxpayers' expense.

I can recommend '' Dog Instruction 3 '' starring Anne Widdicombe.
